Hi there,

I'm a pretty new diver. I have a total of 17 dives - almost all in Hawaii - had a great time last month there.

Now a couple of really good friends want to get in on the action - but lack the enthusiasm I had to buy gear and get certified before they know if they'll like it.

We're going to go somewhere - not sure where - but either FL or Mexico or the Caribbean.

If anyone knows of a shop that can rent my two buddys all their gear - hell - even fins, mask, snorkel if possible and take us all out for 4 dives PLEASE let me know.

Thanks in advance - I'm going to post this to the MX and Caribbean forums as well.

I know that Force E in West Palm Beach has done Discover Dive classes in the past: I don't really know if they still conduct those sessions or not: you'll have to call. But if your friends want to do 4 dives, why not go all the way and get certified? They can start in DC and finish the OW dives in Fl or Mexico.

Here in Key West DSDs are quite common since we have more tourists than divers. As far as I know every shop in Key West would be more than happy to take you and your friends out. I can tell you for sure that Lost Reef would gladly do DSD's for your friends and then take you and them out for a few dives.

You might also be able to find a thing or two to do with your non-diving time here as well.
