If you are looking for a very progressive and active store, lots of trips, continuing education and local activities I would agree with herbdb:

IVS has a great staff, lots of local activities, warm water trips, continuing education and more.

Northeast Scuba Supply, in Norristown. More oriented towards the technical diver, but excellent prices on equipment, and our OW course with them was very well done.

I would also put in for Indian Valley Scuba. Great dive shop that's not too far. Its full time and carries a full line. Always helpful, and can't say enough good stuff about Dave and the gang there.
