OK Tobin, Time for a modification. I have your bungee mount for my Dive Rite Duo. It would be Oh so simple to develop a double one piece mount (just angle a second mount attached to the first so that you have the computer to the side/underside of the arm and the SK7 compass on top of the arm). No one has had the sense to do this so far that I know of. Innovate - you are so good at this!

PS I want the pre-production price if you do so for coming up with the idea :D

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but what you want is not a trivial task. Molds are not a simple matter.

In addition most wear their compass on their left forearm, and their bottom timer on their right forearm.

Well I'll add my voice to the Sk-7, but with a twist. Despite the OP's concerns, I love using my SK-7 on retractor. I do not find it a pain at all, and in fact I find it much easier to correctly hold it in front of me when navigating then if it were on a wrist. It is much more comfortable to hold a compass straight in front of you than having to keep your arm perpendicular to your body. It also allows for greater multi-tasking. I too wear a wrist mounted computer on my right wrist and have an SPG clipped by my left shoulder. When navgiating I can hold the compass in my left and watch my wrist computer. If I need to check my SPG, I simply move the compass to my right hand and check gauge with left. I never have to lose sight of my compass heading.

Yeah, this is true of the tech side of the house (not that I fully buy into the rationale for this - maybe the strapping of two separate pieces of gear on one arm has a little to do with this). However, I maintain that a curved (maybe hinged) low profile bungee mount that puts both computer data and a compass in one spot would certainly appeal to recreational users - and eventually the tech side.

I like my compass and my depth instrument both in the same field of view. I wear them both on my left arm. This keeps my right hand free for equipment and tools, without compromising my navigation and depth information.

I have a wrist mounted SK7 and am very interested in the DSS mount. However, I have tried and can not for the life of me figure out how to get it apart without possibly breaking it. Do the DSS mounts come with instructions on doing this? I also have a Vytec I'd like to get a mount for but I have the same issue.

We don't make the OEM mounts, and as such we cannot possibly know every possible mount the SK7 may be in, wrist mount, console, hose , retractor etc. Mounts also vary over time.

Users routinely remove their computers and compasses. Soaking in hot tap water is universally helpful. Use care, but remember that it is possible.

Us as hot as you can stand water. Drop the unit into the water for a couple of minutes then gently pry it out with your fingers or an object if you dare. They will come out much easier with them heated. If you can touch it, then heat damage is not going to happen.

Oh yeah another vote for an SK7 and DSS mount. Switching to a wrist mount improved my navigation over a retractor compass. Plus less dangles.
