suunto wrist compass rocks...you should be happy. no more figeting for compass on console.

Suunto's SK7 has plenty of votes here, but I have one too, so here's my vote for it. The best thing about the SK7 is that it will allow a lot more tilt angle than most others.

Ditto on the SK7, it will still read accurately at a larger angle

(I think that Oceanic has come out with one that reads at a large angle)

Quick question here. LP shows the Suunto SK7 available in a variety of ways. Am I correct in presuming that the compass is the same and only the mount differs? So, if planning to go with Tobin's mount, I could save some money by buying an add-on compass for a console ($10 cheaper), and then take it out? These details are important for my Christmas list. :)

the SK-7 is great, but I preferred the SK-6.

I have an Oceanic wrist mount compass. The compass module itself was used for four dives. The wrist mount that it is now it has never been used. It's all yours for $50 if you want it (:

I recently moved my Suunto SK-7 from console to wrist. So yeah, I guess I'm a fan of wrist mounts now.

I like my compass and my depth instrument both in the same field of view. I wear them both on my left arm. This keeps my right hand free for equipment and tools, without compromising my navigation and depth information.
I feel the same way - except that I wear them on my right arm, keeping my left hand free for equipment and tools, without compromising my navigation and depth information (:

I wear all my instruments on my left, same idea.

Suunto SK-7. Wear on left wrist and dive computers on right. Got mine from LeisurePro.com
