This statement, however, seems a bit "out of normal", I'm not busting your balls here, but how can one say "recreational trimix is basic scuba"? Unless the "rcreational trimix"
is composed of 21% oxygen, and 79% nitrogen, then we are not talking "basic scuba"....
We may be, however, talking about a gas which may be dealt with in much the same way as compressed air, but Basic SCUBA ??-- Bounce that off of an OW instructor!!

I think you're misunderstanding the guy.

The All-In-Wonder course cert's you to 150' (Rec trimix/Adv Nitrox/Deco)

Rec trimix does not, which is why it's called Rec.....

use 32% tables for 30/30, add in 1 min stops from 1/2 max depth.

Yeah, but if you make things that simple then what is left for everyone to spend weeks and weeks arguing about? You'reg going to ruin all the fun.

Come on, personal choice is king! Let's all go diving with a different mix and our own "best mix tables"

Seriously though, this is one of the huge benefits of standard gases. Yeah, sure the gas may not be the "100% bestest gas for the dive" but they are really easy to work with! And then if you vary your depth during the dive which is inevitable to some extent then neither is the "Best mix" the 100% bestest.

also, rec triox is good down to 150 fsw with 21/35, only you don't get very long down there, and you ought to know better...

are you certain? MY understanding is depth limit is 120 in that class. 150 with 21/35 is zero Min deco limit.
