It doesn't matter which route you choose. It is just matter of convenience....

I do both though. I never wrap up any service without using tooth brush. You know, the human hand is still a darn reliable than any other equipment.:D

Snowbear, welcome to the self-serve reg world........ Apeks is much easier for the self-service because it doesn't require that many specific tools like a darn ScubaPro.
 
Yes, I have a ultrasonic cleaner. And I use a toothbrush.

I've been servicing my regs for a couple years now, but didn't get the US cleaner until recently and found it works much better than the ol' toothbrush. Especially in the small places where the brush won't fit :wink:

Maybe it's overkill, but I am more assured of O2 cleanliness, especially for my deco regs, using the US cleaner than without it.
