Even though I dive with all black now, pink and other colors do not bother me at all. I picked up 2 pink deluxe mesh dive bags at a clearance sale for $5 each, so my current dive bag is pink, and my wife uses the other one. The LDS salesperson said she couldn't sell the pink bags for a long time due to the color. It's always easy to find our bags on a crowded boat, or anywhere else because they stand out.

For me, fit, function, and price are far more important considerations than color. I am secure in my "manhood," and teasing doesn't bother me. I'm here to dive, and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. The teasers usually get over it when they find out the great price I got.

BTW...my wife uses black, pink, and yellow.

Scuba god Mike Nelson is rolling in his grave right now... So tell me Mr. PinkDiver:smiliee:... do you dive with a "steak knife" or carry sewing scissors when wearing pink dive gear? :fishslap:

Actually, I do have a steak knife. One that you get 6 for a buck at the dollar store. Ground down to about 2 inches long, and in a plastic sheath on my BC strap. Don't ever use it, unless I had to. No sewing scissors, but a stainless stell small bandage scissor about 2 inches long in my BC pocket. Also cost a buck.

How many of us wear pink (ones with at least one Y chromasome)? I have a pink tipped snorkel, and now just acquired a pink weight belt. I am working on getting a pair of pink fins next....

How many of us are manly enough to admit we like pink? I met a man on a dive boat with a pink belt, and another one with a pink regulator... They were not at all "happy" in the fruitty sense, but were happy otherwise.

Funny you should post this. Was diving yesterday at the jetties in Destin, Florida. When we came up for the dive there was a guy standing there. He was about sixty years old, bald head, no wet suit (in 61 degree water), and a BRIGHT PINK tank, wearing pink dive gloves. We talked to him and he told us he got the the whole rig for $300.00 from a friend. He laughed and said his son thinks he is crazy but he said he was "secure in his manhood" and liked wearing it.

We told him he was easy to see underwater. If nothing else, pink is a good conversation starter.
