you get them in the red sea, they are well known for their curiosity and friendlyness towards divers, not like the titan triggers, I had a run in with one in the red sea, it chased me and my budy for taking a photo of it

ONE WORD..........AWESOME !!!!!!

Yes, it is most definitely worth doing. Great big fish action, especially sharks & mantas. The reefs are uninteresting - no soft or fan corals, no caves, swimthroughs, gullies etc. But they do support an enormous amount of fish life - great schools of barrycudas, jacks, snapper, surgeonfish. LOTS of grey reef sharks, black tips, mantas, etc etc etc. And if you like sharks it is great because they are fed by the dive companies and so are very approachable and accommodating (ethically not so good, photographically amazing!)

I am posting part 2 of my trip report today in the Oz & Pacific Travel forum, so look out for it.

I got bitten by a titan triggerfish in Thailand about 14 years ago. Swam over the top of a nest without realising and BAM! in from the side came Mumma (or was it Pappa?) Titan and bit me hand. Fortunately it was small bite. They're mean muthers. There were lots in Tahiti, but it appeared not to be nesting season, so that was lucky!

I definately want to check out diving there. I have plenty of time but unfortunately not plenty of cash!!
