greetings

i was wondering if i can convert my quick disconnect inflator hose for mares air control to a standard one with an adaptor

i have 2 bcd one which have the air control and the other one is standard i need an adaptor to switch between them without removing the hose from the 1st stage and connect the other one

regards

Have looked at the air control connector. It may be a coupling that is screwed on to a standard second stage hose. If that is the case you can get the same type of coupling that will fit a standard male inflator connector. Just unscrew one and screw on the other. When I bought my Atomic SS1 it came with the SS1 coupling attached to a standard 2nd stage hose, when I switched a standard inflator I just got the right adapter and put it on the 2nd stage hose. It's a little bulkier than a dedicated inflator hose but it works well.

greetings

thanks for the replay for (claymore) it is not coupling screwed in it it is one piece so this solution will not work with mares air control but regarding (btw2459) i've contacted dive gear express and i am awaiting their response

Rather than having an adaptor for the two hoses, since they will give you more possible failure points, why not buy a replacement LP inflator that have matching connectors and swap off the proprietary one. Leisure pro has one for around $35. Adaptors are just another thing to fail or get lost.
