I'm a Fish!
I have been interested in semi dry suits lately since most of my dive are chilly and for the price of a regular 7mm wetsuit I rather pay a little more and get a semi dry since I have heard so much good wonders on them. My question is most semi dry are hood-less so would it be pointless to have a semi dry if I put on a hooded vest because I would be breaking the seal around the neck too easily in the water? How does this work? For the past two years I have been wearing a 3mm hooded vest, 3mm full, and 3mm short on my cold dives and its uncomfortable not to mention the amount of cold water rushing in during my dive. I hope that makes sense.

You can put the vest on top of the semidry.

Keep mindful of the ramifications of a semidry when it comes to urination.

I wear my hooded vest inside my semi dry with no issues, neck seal still works
