Well, if he's trying to use an Air2, presumably, he's accepted the idea of donating the primary. So he's kind of half way there. He just needs to consider a longer hose on the same primary/donor regulator and unbarnacling his second from his inflator hose. Its not a big leap. (unless he's trying to find a really long corrugated infl........never mind)
I assume I should take that as a shot referencing another post?

It wasn't in any way intended as a shot. I'm interested in your progress, as your constant tinkering reminds me of me. I like it. It causes me to think about stuff. I am curious to see how it turns out, but we should stop hyjacking this thread and take it back to your thread about same.
Shots for everybody,
Dave

I am buying a backplate and wing and have narrowed the search down to 2. 1 Diverite transplate harness & venture30+lb. wing. 2 OMS comfort harness system & 32lb. single tank wing. Anythoughts or opinions on these options would be a great help. thanks. I am diving a Bare CD4 drysuit & OMS 112 single steel tanks in the greatlakes

Hi, I don't know how far you may have gotten in your search for equipment. But hopefully, to save you some money, you had'nt bought certain things. I tried like hell to get the comfort harness right and I really never could. Plus it had a lot of extra webbing and clips etc. There was less room for pockets etc. I put the one piece harness back on and really sat and adjusted it. It really fits beautiful. One of the biggest problems I had was the backplate height on my back. According to several web sites, I should be able to touch the plate while reaching over my shoulder. I could never do it with the oms, I don't know why. With the cont. harness I can easily do it. As peoeple on this post have reminded me, I have never dove this, but these are my observations thus far and if I had been able to try the equipment in advance, I would've not bought the comfort harness. Hopefully this is helpful.
Regards,
Justin
