My wife and I are looking at booking the Iberostar Waves Cozumel and diving with Dressel's in early June. My question is did you book the hotel stay through Dressels's, direct with the hotel, or through the IHG website?
I've been corresponding with someone from Dressler's who's apparently in Spain (and they have an @gmaill.com email address which is sus to me but I also get that it's not uncommon for small businesses to handle business that way) but the price they quoted for the dive and stay seems higher than booking the hotel directly.
Also, did you book your dives in advance to get a pre-paid discount? We are happy to do that but are concerned about if someone is just tired or not feeling well losing the dives we paid for. They don't offer refunds, rather they offer a voucher good to dive with them again over the next five years. That wouldn't be terrible as Cozumel is easy to get to for me, but it's not as good as a refund. If you did book your dives in advance, how did they ask you to pay? Again, my correspondence so far has all been via email after I filled out their on-line form.
We also plan on doing a Cenote excursion while we are there.
Just curious on how others handled their accommodations and if anyone has any advice.
