Question about DAN coverage.

I think I know the answer to this question, but here goes.

Suppose we have family membership and the preferred coverage. We have a trip planned together and one of us becomes ill before the trip and can't dive. She is not going to go without me and me probably not without her. Is the only one covered for the vacation cancellation coverage the one that is actually ill.

Same question should DCI occur during a trip. Seems like there should be a plan to cover dive buddies/spouses lose of dives, accomandations or trips.

Do any of the other companies consider this. Reinbursment for both family members/dive buddies should only one become ill and need to cancel trip.

Two things -

1. This should be in the dedicated DAN forum.

2. A call to DAN would answer both questions. Don't be shy - you paid your membership dues for a reason, and this counts as part of that reason.
