Ber Rabbit:
I could have sworn I posted this already but I don't see it. A friend and I are running a fun pumpkin carving dive at Gilboa again this year. We'll plan to carve at approx 2pm on Saturday if you want to carve as a group. My buddy and I will both have our white tents set up for those who prefer to prep their pumpkins before diving with them. He thinks people should dive in costumes so if you're game find a way to dress up your scuba gear :D A night dive complete with the jack-o-lanterns illuminated with cyalume sticks will cap off the festivities. Everyone is welcome, this is a great time! We had a really small group last year but we had big fun!

It was fun watching you guys carve 'em last year! :)

Here's some pics I took of a friend carving pumpkins once.

I know... What can I say?... I am a fourth generation Wolverine. I'm not afraid of anything. :D

Lance

Ah...a Wolverines fan, eh? I thought something smelled strange around the boards...:D

No worries, Lance. When the Bucks string up Henne's skin for drying, we won't rub it in TOO much. :)

Hopefully, both teams will be undefeated going into the game, ranked 1 & 2 and we can have the National Championship without bothering with the BCS. :D

I actually hope OSU is ranked #1, its so fun when Michigan ruins their season.

Unfortunately I can't be down there on Saturday, its my daughters Homecoming dance. I know better than to miss being there for the 10 minutes of pictures. I haven't figured out why I need to be there, but heaven help me if I'm not.

I also need to get the boat out of the water, its getting to be that time of year again.

The water was 66 on the shallow side this weekend. I didn't put on the heavy undies to go down to the tubes or the deep side so I can't tell you what the temp is there. I think someone said it was about 50 at the tubes which is about normal.

BTW, there was an emergency on Saturday. I only got part of it, apparently a woman was diving at the tubes and bolted for the surface. She was breathing and conscious, but looked scared and cold. I don't know if she had anything wrong or not, that's a bit hard to tell from the dock.

There was some speculation that she got scared in one of the tubes and rushed to the surface, but that was just what I over heard. Hopefully, she will be okay.

Hagar (referring to your avatar). Have you been drinking too much again??

Here, have some coffee and calm down :coffee:

RPanick:
No, but a beer doesn't sound half bad right now.

Go on and have one. Cheers to Jim Tressel and Go Bucks!:D

There's a thread about it in the accidents and incidents forum. Both of them spent a few hours in the hospital for evaluation and are fine.

Hate to say it, but I misread the dates. I will likely have to work that weekend. Darn it!

Well, Ber, I really want to go. But I've been off the truck for about 4 months now and I am sure my hubby will be coming to collect me before then.

I noticed a huge contrast between us quarry divers and the paradise divers in Oahu over the last two weeks. We quarry divers are much easier to please! sh0ppers rule and sea nmf said the shore dive we did was a bummer- and I was thrilled with it! Oh well- they don't get the scubuno thing, either!

I'm hoping to be around- I probably won't dive in costume (hey- we look funny enough without trying, right?) but I'll wear my beanie for you. BTW a few years ago for a Halloween party I wore my bc, mask/snorkel and my beanie (complete with propeller). Scuba gear makes for great party gags...
