I look forward to diving PV, we just bought into a timeshare that has a facility there. Looks nice!

According to Alicia Hermosillo, 84 F today at the surface south of the bay and 80 F at 80 feet. Nice visibility with little alage bloom.

Safe diving !

June 26 dive report at Mismaloya and Los Arcos.

Surface water temp 86F / 30C and min temp at 60 ft 80F / 27C. Viz throughout 40-50 ft.

Fantastic dive at Mismaloya. Saw 2 families of eagle rays, turtles, octopi, schools of parrotfish and trigger fish, plus the 100s of assorted species that we commonly see.

At Los Arcos we dove the south wall with it´s normal abundance of fish. Worth mentioning was a school of 16 moorish idols, which are normally seen in groups of 2 or 3.

Tis the season to be jolly diving PV. Come and get it!

Fantastic diving at Majahuitas and Cerro Bola today. Surface water temp 88F and min 82F at 60 ft.
Viz 50-60 ft.

At Majahuitas we saw a huge Green Moray, a large Stone Scorpionfish, and a couple of octopi hidden in the rocks.

At Cerro Bola we flirted with a turtle which was eyeing us for a while.

Come dive PV!

Hello, Alex! Great photos! Boy, I wish I'd been able to dive w/o the 7mm when I was with you in May!!! I remember feeling a thermocline right around 45-50 ft when I was with Natalia at Marietas!

Hi Alex,

I will be in PV for 1 day with a cruise ship Feb 16 from 8am-5pm. How does it work if you are a single diver? I usually buddy with my husband, but he won't be on the trip and nobody else in my family dives. Can I get a DM buddy? I am a newer diver (10 dives logged, will have some more by Feb, maybe 15-20) and can be nervous sometimes. I'd like to stay above 75'.

Thanks,
Blake

Conditions at the different dive sites continue to be great with visibility over 50 ft and temperature in the mid to upper 80s F / Upper 20s C

We´re well into the rainy season, having had strong thunderstorms the past few days. Never fear, for the storms are in the evening / night, which leaves the mornings for great diving!

I´ve been trying to upload pictures but we´re getting an upload error. Will try again soon. Stay posted because we have some nice ones...

Just returned to Louisiana from Puerto Vallarta and can't say enough about the amazing vacation we had. Completed my open water certification with PVScuba and had a great trip. Ramses, the dive master was great, he pointed out lots of creatures I would have never seen without his help. He was professional, safe and fun to dive with. Drinks, lunch and snacks were provided. The group was small, only four. The water tempreature was about 82-84 and it only rained at night. The south side of the bay where we dove was pretty clear both days, 7-19 & 7-20. My wife's courage was not so great and could not complete the dives, Alex agreed to refund some of the cost. I would very much recomend going through PVScuba for your dives. If you are not trained, I would also suggest doing it here ( verses at home with open water referral ) because it will save you a few hundred bucks.
