Thanks I hope I can get my travel arrangements. Tomorrow I am flying from Koror to Manila and I still have time left before heading home. So wanted to try PIL for a little bit.

Mike, I just met a few of your friends in Palau. They had very nice things to say about you....

Well not so nice....

so it seems like you're spending the night (at least) in manila?

the extremes in getting to PG have been mentioned: get the resort to pick you up at the airport (costs $$ i believe) OR you commute via bus...

i've done the bus thing and it can be pretty uncomfy if you are tall... the earliest ferry to sabang beach is 815am and the buses take about 2 hours to get from manila to the pier

i would suggest this OPTION: contact swagman hotel (www.swaggy.com) or lotus garden hotel (http://www.asiatravel.com/royalpalm/index.html) where they have this bus-and-ferry package that leaves about 7/8 am and gets you all the way to either sabang or muelle bay... it's more expensive than the commute but in USD it's a whopping $10 one-way so no big deal

Thus I guess I will have to stay in mnl for a few days. And I don't have that much time. Will see what happens once I arrive and it will be nice to have a few days rest from diving.

Maybe I can write a Dive report on Thailand and Palau.
