Ah Michael,

right smack on the HOliday season when most people would be leaving the CITY you come into the city......

well, lets see who would reamin in the city this coming two days.....

i will be off to Batangas tom.....

If anybody has good recommendations on where to stay in Manila please let me know. Your advice(s) has been right on the money.

Guys, thanks to all for recommending El Galeon/Asia Divers. I was supposed to be here for only 4 days...

Well...decided to stay a little bit longer and it's almost 2 weeks now. :) bought a new ticket home and trying to enjoy my last few days of Puerto Galera. Really awesome place to hang out and dive. I will be catching my local ferry/bus to Manila soon and hang out in Manila for 2 days..

If anybody has good recommendations on where to stay in Manila please let me know. Your advice(s) has been right on the money.

great to hear your trip went well........ good place there are a number depending on your budget...

but expect most going-out places to be closed for the lenten holidays (and the city a ghost town)... especially on friday

I remember when I used to live in Manila...they didn't sell any alcohol during Lent, so me and my buddies made sure we stocked up on brew.

But if you go to the provinces, they sell alcohol in front of the church...:D

now you know why they don't sell in manila, as most of them alcohol have been sold and brought to the provinces.
