Puerto Aventuras/Akumal info needed

Hi, we're planning a 8d/7n trip to PA/Akamul in early March (spring break time due to school schedule). The members consists of kids(1-6 yr. old, 2x1yr. olds), and several adults (between 6~10) that are experienced OW divers (10+ yrs, 100+ dives). We've done the cenote dive once, but really prefers the ocean.

Would really appreciate any recommendations regarding:
1) Lodging. Prefer AI, with kid's club, pool & beach, so we can do some diving, while kids playing in the club, pool and beach. Good food, good services, and the possibility of different activities (not necessary night life, but excursions). Can do condos, but then will need info about maid/cook and possibly nanny info.
2) Dive ops. Heard Dennis of Diablo Diving is good. Does he also do Ocean diving?
3) How's the diving condition in early March? Current? Wind? Water temp?

That's all I can think of right now. Appreciate any pointers.

Oh, also, is Akumal and AP recovers from Wilma/Emily? What's the ocean diving looks like? Anything to see in early March?

I suggest you check out locogringo message boards, lots of info on traveling / hotels etc in that area.

We are located in Playa del Carmen but associated with a dive shop in Akumal... great beaches for the kids, snorkeling and divng in beautiful canyons. If you are located in Dallas call or pass by International Scuba and ask about us... Enjoy Diving.. they can refer you. As for the hotel you can make a reservation to one of the resorts around Akumal. There are a few nice ones (Akumal Beach Resort ie).

We are booked for Akumal Beach Resort May 19th-may 27th. I have been reading and researching Locogringo.com message boards. This seems to be one of those destinations were research and planning will be needed.
