I have a history or pre cancerous moles and have several biopsies done including 3 or WLE's to insure they don't become cancerous.
A couple weeks ago I had a small mole on my chest that was itching so I scheduled a dermatologist appointment. They looked at it and both the resident and attending said it looked normal but was getting caught on my shirt and rubbing, that's why it itched.
I asked them to shave it just so it would stop rubbing, they agreed and shaved it off.
Pathology came back as squamous cell carcinoma. Thankfully we caught it while still at the very top layer of skin, we are going to try topical chemo cream to kill the remaining cancer cells.
Remember your sunscreen and cover up once out of the water.
