One more use of the ear cup is to carry diving torch on head.

Great illustration of the Pro-Ear mask.

I have encountered a problem with the Collar (6707) clips which secure the tube ends and connectors. They they can break. If this happens the tubes will detach. Even though you can push them back on, the tubes are not strong enough to keep themselves in place. I applied silicone tape (Rescue Tape) over the collars to prevent them from coming apart. I also repaired the mask, when a collar broke on a recent dive, by applying a wire tie (zip tie) directly to the tube. Fortunately this occurred as I put the mask on, at the surface. I was able to slip on the wire tie whilst hanging from the dive platform.

The earcups frames can fracture if struck by a tank or weights. I repaired one with silicone tape.

6707 collars and other parts are always in supply. Please contact local dealer and let them apply for for this spare parts. We always keep some here in case some one lost it. By the way, when you slip the mask from top, be careful to move it slowly and parallel movement will prevent the loss of this collar. This 6707 collar is free but user need to pay freight charge by themselves.

Anyone know how the ProEar ME80 differs from the 2000? I don't have trouble equalizing usually, but do occasionally have troubles with ears after diving a few, especially in waters that I've been in with more sediment. I thought a pair of these might be good to try. (Though the IST web site doesn't seem to say where I can find a local dealer here near Minneapolis) I would need to get prescription lenses with these as well. (Has the ME80 been built to accommodate a wider face?)

As far as I know, there is no difference between them. You can easily buy it from eBay.
