I have an Oceanic ProPlus 2 that I'm thinking of selling. It is a little over a year old. It has the compass, quick disconnect, and a neoprene case.

I don't use the AI functionality, so this computer is wasted on me.

Any suggestions of what the resale vale of this might be? If I sell it would like to give someone a good deal, but also get a fair price for myself.

Thanks for any help

What do you mean by "AI functionality?"

A year old, you'll get 1/2 of what a new one sells for.

Why are you not using the Air Integration? I love that feature.

I tend to use basically as gauges. I don't use the air time remaining, and I don't upload it to my computer. The functionality I use it for can be replaces by the most basic computer and SPG and a compass. I also don't like using a compass on a console.

As far as the compass is concerned, I agree and Oceanic sent me a new top piece so I could remove the compass and mounted in a wrist mount. The computer is really compact with out the compass. I like the PP2 because the numbers are large and clear. I don’t use the ATR display either but there are many displays and other features that come in very handy.

I can not suggest a price (well I could, I'll give you $5! :D).

I dive with a Aeries Epic, and SPG (backup), a Aeries Atmos II (backup), and a Sunto SK-7 compass. I love AI, but Dive Time remaining is something I rarely look at. I generally just use the psi and base my decisions on that if necessary.

I'm not a big fan of consoles, and prefer to wear my gauges on my wrist. I really don't need to dive with the backup SPG, but it's easy enough to clip it off.

OK. I guess I just don't quite follow the logic behind "This computer has functions that I don't use so I'm going to sell it."

The computer you have is paid for. Why would you sell it at a loss, add money from your pocket and buy a new computer? It'll cost you zero to just keep the computer you have and ignore the displays you don't care about.

Simple reason. It isn't the right piece of gear for the diving he does. Why not recoup some of the money he spent, and get the gear that suits his diving.
