That's a very apple-fan thing to say... you're not a fan so you hate it. I'm annoyed by the constant one-sided plugging of their product. If in every single 'what computer to buy' thread the same 5 people would yap on and on about how AMAZING the new apple watch is and how everything else sucks, I would be equally annoyed.
But you don't see that, because there are better out there even though all apple users are apparently fan boys.
What you do see is people recommending fundamentals and shearwaters.
Weird, I wonder why that is.

I literally watched a pair of Germans kicking the crap out of the reef in Tulamben in September. Tropical vacation divers perpetually in rental gear looking at pretty fish are generally trash no matter where they come from and all would likely benefit from some technical training.

I'm kind of confused by your response, but I think I understand what you're saying. My suggestion is instead of being annoyed that GUE folks, who've taken GUE training are pro-GUE, you ask yourself the opposite question:

Why are there so few GUE trained people who hate GUE?

Hey, that Oceanic app is still pretty new and more apple fanboys might find this board.

No true in my experience.

That is so offensive and makes you sound like an imbecile.

I do not know anything about GUE so I just googled them. Why do they set the depth max for the rec diver 3 at 39m. Seems strange....

An attempt to keep up with the rest of the rec (at least WRSTC) 130ft max depth.

I loathe rec 3 and will **** on it any chance I get.

Also the valve drill as taught in fundies is a bit different from how you’d probably be taught elsewhere.
Yeah, I’ve seen video of the PADI tec drill and they do it differently, with a major focus on speed, which is not how it gets taught on fundies.

Why not contact your fundies instructor and ask what his/her opinion is? ... That's what you're paying them for.
Best advice I've seen yet in this thread (though I might have missed someone else saying it in all the lightning and thunder).

Or your intro to tech instructor. The ts also opts about doing that course.

Or skip both courses, save some money, and jump directly into an adv. nitrox course. Also that is an option and allowed.
