This is awesome news. Wishing David the best in his recovery. We just heard....David just has 1st and 2nd degree burns, which is awesome!!!!!!! No skin graphs, no limited mobility and shorter recover period. Thank you all for your prayers.....the power of prayer is awesome!!!!!! Thank you God!
AWESOME news, Still sending positive prays and thoughts your way.
Update: we were slightly mislead with information received by a stand-in nurse. David's actual surgeon just updated us. The news is still EXTREMELY good BUT David does have small 3rd degree burn areas on bis back and right hand that will require surgery and grafts on Monday. His front and face sustained the blast and is almost completely 2nd degree. At this point in time the doctor said that his recovery, if the surgeries go well, will be on track for a 5-6 month discharge. Please do not share this information with David in your communications because he still has no clue of what the extent of his injuries are. We look forward to keeping you posted
There was a little miscommunication about David's burns. There are mostly 2nd degree burns, but there are some 3rd degree burns spots as well. David is having a very active day with having a bath, the of his bandages, and PR, so pray for his strength and patience.
