Hello all!

I have been using this board in helping me to make my decision on my initial scuba gear purchases. Since I have moved from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Vancouver, B.C. I figured I would take advantage of the West Coast life style and my PADI advanced open water certification I received in Australia 2 years ago. So here I am scouring the board and probing all those who have been graciuos enough to not only bear with my newbie diving ignorance but also to reply to the many equipment threads I have started. That said, this week I will be putting in my order for some brand spanking new heavily researched equipment. Apeks ATX200 primary, ATX40 octo, and Whites quadflex drysuit with dry gloves. The BCD is still giving me grief. I want to try the Halcyon SS BP/pioneer wing and the Seaquest Balance (in that order) then decide which will round out the purchase. So there it is as it stands now. That will probably change in the next 30mins as it has ove the last month. lol. I can't wait to explore the Pacific Norhtwest waters. Look out six gills, look out sea lions! Excited to make the 20 minute drive from house to dive site. Looking forward to a long and exciting experience underwater. West coast is the best coast! Good day eh?

Welcome to the neighbourhood from an ex-neighbour (I use to live in Vancouver)....

As you've already discovered this is a grand place to meet new folks, learn interesting things, and have a good laugh.

Sounds like you have made good choices on the equipment. Now that you have that out of the way don't forget us. You can spend more time in the other sections now.
