Lombardi is the way to go for affordable 4 pin connectors. Not only affordable, but obtainable.
AK has literally ghosted me on a 60 pc order for quite a while now. Spend a lot of time on the phone with them, I asked for bulkheads before they were made. I tried to deal with them incl ordering connectors to build commercial dive equipment and they just don't get back to you.

Did you look into XCCR style cable locking system?
