Got out for 2 tanks and a little fishing this morning. Dove a ledge south of the inlet and then hit the Riverwalk. Vis was unbelievable. We could clearly see the wreck and fish in 85 fsw from the boat. Nice and warm about 76 on both dives.
First dive I find the dog snapper as soon as I reached the ledge. I haven't shot a fish in 2 weeks so I string him up. Toward the end of the dive I find a gag hiding behind a rock that is smaller than him. I waited for him to stick his head out so I could get a shot and then we made eye contact and he took off. He was swimming away fast and I took a long shot I hit him right in the gut. I could immediately see that it was not a great shot so I just let him swim while I followed as fast as I could to avoid the tear-out. When he finally stopped I grabbed under the gills and imediately put him on the stringer. He was still very green so I sent him up on a lift bag for the guys on the boat to deal with.
Second dive was on the Riverwalk. I have never dove these wrecks with no current. I was really nice to explore the wrecks and surrounding debris. I see a small hog heading off into the sand and he leads me to a couple bigger hogs. I got 2 and my buddy chased down the biggest one in the bunch.
A great day on the water.
The days catch.

Wow what an unbelievable shovelnose, and sooooo sweet in butter.

Here is one we got a couple of years ago hanging on my buddy out of West Palm. The one on the ground was from Feb.
