Do you like your regulators? please Tell me about them?
What condtions have you dove in, with them?

I was diving last winter with one, it was freezing cold out.
My SCUBA Pro MK 25 free flowed(perhaps due to poor service). The xtreme did not.
However, I found myself over breathing this regulator sometimes because it felt sticky in 30 feet of water. Fine tuning may have been off in the second stage. Divers on this board swear by this regulator, particularly for deepwater. And it looks cool.

I use Poseidon Xstreams on all my dives. The water temperature out here is anywhere from -3C (lowest I've seen it) to at most 10C (high 20s to low 50s for you F guys) and I've had them down to 120ft. They have never freeflowed on me or chucked iceblocks down my throat. They are on the other hand poseidons, so they breath differently then other regs. If you've never tried them, do so before you buy because some people dont like their breathing caracteristics, but they are none the less much smoother than the Jetstreams/Odin IMO especially in the shallow depths. They might be expensive to buy, but they are as freeze proof as you can get, I've seen Sherwoods, Mares, SP and Apex/AL have all FF up here in the Saguenay and upper St-Lawrence.

I dive Apeks, my wife Poseidon. She has had the Extreme for almost a year, used it for warm and cold water diving. She loves it and prefers ist over the Jetstream.

I've been diving Poseidons for 6 years, the xtreme's for 3. I've had them in 85 degree salt water and 38 degree fresh water. Used them on shallow dives and down to 250' in cold water. They breathe excellent and I have a high degree of confidence in them, which is important. On the down side, they are expensive to buy and service. They need to be serviced by someone who knows how to tune them properly. I had to call a dive on the USS Monitor because of a poseidon extreme problem. That said, I would still choose them. I now have a set of Apeks regs as a back-up.

I've been diving the Xstream since they first came out. In my opinion the second stages do not breath as well as the Jetstream and flat suck in shallow water, the bubbles don't clear your face as well as the Jetstream either but IMO they're better than any front exhaust in that respect. The earlier first stages IP was not adjustable but the spring "cap" can be replaced to remedy this. The first stage is somewhat large but very well made and very easy to service. Another plus for the first stage when comparing to other Poseidons is the open design which allows for much better flushing when rinsing post dive.

I agree with this. I've had both...but seem to come back to the Jets. I'm currious as to what you think about running a Jet second off an xstream first.

I have 2 of these regulators and I love them! I most offten dive in water between 48 and 60 F and have dove it in warm water. I find that on shallow dives (arround 30ft) that the reg is a bit harder to breath. However most of my dives are below that depth and so there is little issue there. As far as reliability and durability. I have litteraly beat the crap out of these regs. In one noticable instance I filled the entire second stage primary up with corse sand during a particular bad exit ,from Monastary beach in monterey, while I think that I still have some of that sand in my lungs the reg just kept on breathing. Overall I love the simplicity of the reg and find it a better choise for diving in harsher conditions, especaly beach diving where the potental for surf accidentaly pressing the perge on you can occure with a "normal" reg. I do however think that they could have improved the exaust valve, the bubbvles do have a tendency to come up in your face if you are near the vertical position.

And to answer the question from Jrk about hooking a Jet to an xstream it is a great idea. I have a Jet as my octo and have used it as the primary it works great and is a good alternative to using the xstream second. Personaly i prefer the lower profile of the xstream second to that of the jet.

I run a jet second off an xtreme first on my necklace. Not a problem.

A gentle touch is all the purge needs...

so far I like it =)
