I own apex atx 200, A extream and also a Deep 90 love all three of them and would not dive anything other then Poisedon or Apex.

The XStream is an interesting design. The first stage has a floating valve seat. I have only seen this twice, in the Northhill double hose regulator and with the Sherwood single hose (in current production). The ball bearing poppet is commonly used in backpressure valves and in the old Bauer lever action fill manifold but this is the first Scuba reg application I have seen.

Does anyone have info or a link as to the internals of the second stage?
TIA

I just got my Xstream yesterday. Am couch diving it right now... Becareful with the purge button... I pushed it in all the way.. the reg blew out of my mouth .. lol

A gentle touch is all the purge needs...

so far I like it =)

I'll second that on the purge. This reg will not only clear itself, it will clear your ears when purged........that's no joke. I have owned the Xstream for two years now and really like it. Its a decent reg shallow, but really shines the deeper you go. I've swam across the deck of a schooner at 150 fow and it was smooth as silk. As one of the previous posters put it, this reg will inspire confidence. I had other issues at 150, like watching my slave unit flood. @#$%@^$@!!!!!. My Xstream, nooo problems.
