I'm in the market for a plate and I'm seriously considering the Portland Type II because of the groovy handle.

However, I've read that since the slots are cut strangely that one can have some problems with threading the harness.

Anyone have any experience with these plates and has it been positive or negative due to or in spite of the odd slots?

Instructions on how best to thread the harness (out of academic and potential consumer curiousity) would also be appreciated.
