Hi guys,

I come to you for some help on a project / idea of Christmas gift for my girlfriend who by the way has her diving certificate.

First saw the Scorkl, spare air which I discovered here & else that's not the best... I'm therefore headind to an alternative which is still not too expensive & still somehow compact and easy enough for me to carry 2 systems by myself (My girlfriend has muscles issues) & for travel to some extent. This wouldn't be for dive lower than 10m of course. More 5-8m max I guess.

I'm currently balancing between:

A) A "complete system" like the Mantus mini dive system (are there others...?):
Mantus Scuba Pack - Mantus Marine

B) A "custom" system where I need much help...

I'm currently looking at :

1B) A metal Pony tank of 300 bar of 2 or 3 liters (maybe 4L...)
http://www.gasbottlesdirect.com/cate...bar/1---3-l/13

-Is is easier to find places to refill at 300 bars those days...?? (Is there a list of counties about that?)
-is it bad to fill at 200 bar in last resort or should i really choose a 200 bar alluminum tank...?

2B) Regulator/octopus kit here I'm pretty lost even after some research... found some kit that looks good value for the money...?

Is it really better to get a "Ventura"/"vortex" regulator if we'll don't dive deep with such system?
(On the other side this system could actually become a real secondary security as it is its usual purpose)

If you have any recommendations for the rest (valve, regulator, octopus and anything i may be forgetting) it would be greatly appreciated!

It is totally unclear to me what you are trying to do.

Are you trying to assemble a complete standalone scuba system using a very small cylinder, just for doing very shallow dives? And you intend to carry yours and your girlfriend's? So she would essentially be tethered to you, breathing only gas that you are carrying for her?

Or are you trying to assemble a redundant gas system that you would carry in addition to your normal back mounted single cylinder?
