It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Pompano Dive Center and charters. After 11 years of serving the local diving community we are being forced out. At a time when small businesses in our industry should be banding together some choose to undermine others. It is completely out of our control and sadly not on our terms as changes to the Sands Harbor ownership and management is the leading factor.

We are so grateful to have cultivated the technical diving community in South Florida, created a fellowship with Nova Southeastern for shark conservation and proud to have been a community leader in local beach cleanups.

To all our crew, dive buddies, friends and family thank you for your years of support, be well and dive safe.

We are continuing to run trips throughout the weekend so make sure to stop in for our big blowout!

Who knows what the future will bring, it has been an adventure.

Marina complex is under new ownership and raised rents significantly on everyone there. PDC isn't the only business there that can't afford the new rent.

Is South Florida Dive HQ going to be affected in the same way or are they the house operation for Sands Harbor? Have 2 trips scheduled down there this year. Sad to see Pompano close, it was one of the best shops I’ve ever been in.

That's really too bad. It's been a few years, but I really enjoyed my experiences with PDC
