Hi,
I would like to have the Blue Heron Bridge Scuba Trolls thread locked

Old thread "Blue Heron Bridge Trolls"
http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/florida-diving/386645-blue-heron-bridge-trolls.html

I have created a new thread for this subject "Blue Heron Bridge Trolls III"
http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/florida-diving/518369-blue-heron-bridge-trolls-iii.html

Thanks,
CoolTech

The first link should be

http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/florida-diving/386645-blue-heron-bridge-trolls.html

Unlike some web discussion sites, we rarely close a thread once it is opened. There has to be a pretty good reason to do so. I would guess we do it only a few times a year.

If there is a good reason for people to stop using the old thread and go to the new one instead, that;s what will happen. Perhaps you could put a request for the switch at the end of the old thread.

What is a "switch at the end of the old thread"?

I could point to the MOF where the old thread is locked and the new thread is created

The reason the MOF threads get closed is because the post count gets so high it starts to effect systems

From the original MOF/NMOF thread.
Hey MOFfers and NMOFfers....

I have to close your thread...

SORRY!

It is starting to eat up precious resources that makes the whole board run smoothly! This is especially true of the search functions.

Please feel free to start another stream of conciousness thread, but realise that I will end it at 30,000 posts which is where the system starts to feel it!

I think it's awesome that in one thread we have more posts than %95 of ALL MESSAGE BOARDS (not just scuba). You might be surprised to know that every single month, our users spend about 45 years on www.ScubaBoard.com. That's 24/7/365 years too! Wow. I feel personally responsible for our depressed GNP!

So again, I am sorry I had to stop the fun. Just remember, you are free to start another one in the Water Cooler Section of the board. "O-tay"???

Ok, how about
I talked to Pete today and his answer was (paraphrased) "Done, we'll do it"

Why was Blue Heron Bridge Trolls III locked?

Looks like an error.
You provided the wrong link for "Blue Heron Bridge Trolls" so that's the one that got locked.
I will correct it.
