Thanks everyone so much!! He is awake now and trying to communicate. He can't speak yet because of swelling and irritation to his vocal cords from the tube being down his throat for 6 weeks and he can't write yet because he is still very weak but he can point to words. He was getting frustrated because he couldn't communicate so his Daddy thought of writing down the alphabet and words and he points to them. He keeps telling us he loves us and he wants hugs.
He started physical therapy today and is tolerating it well.

Yes!! Prayers are being answered everyday! My daughter's birthday was yesterday and she got a hug from her son. She said it was the best birthday present ever!
