What price are we getting for the Resqlink PLB-400 and the Light Monkey Cannister.?

Might be interested as well. Can someone provide a more detailed description or model # on the LM canister?

As far as I know, Light Monkey does not have a specific part number for their PLB canisters but if you look on their site you can find descriptions of their canisters.

We’re waiting to hear back from a Light Monkey dealer on pricing and have pricing from one ACR dealer. Please PM me if you want me to share the pricing I have.

So far I have a total of 7 people with firm interest with another 3 or 4 with partial interest. If you’re interested in getting in please PM me and I’ll add you to the list. As I’m still gathering Interest, we’re not sure how payment/shipping will be worked out.

Make sure they include decals. :)

t $10 camera case that I got from eBay
Which model case was that?

Can you get o-rings for it?

I don't want to sound like I'm peddling a product here, but CustomDivers sells a delrin canister that fits just about all of the PLB's on the market for ~$100. Given the little demand in the rec scuba market, I'd say our needs can be easily met for a few hundred dollars as I illustrated up thread.

ACR making a PLB for depth would probably add a $100+ to the cost and then they have to inventory them with what would likely be abysmal sales.
I like this option. :)

I'm waiting for mine to arrive in the mail. Total cost (converted from pounds) $87.19 for the canister, $26.87 for shipping and a spare o-ring kit.

I agree with you there. As I mentioned above (somewhere)… this is the difference, at least potentially, between first world and second/third world responses. Mexico is not nearly as well funded as, for instance, the US or Canada, for such undertakings. For those who choose to recreate in places where the funding for SAR is just not there, it pays to be prepared and have equipment and a plan in place for these type of contingencies. I have recreated all over the world, and have never needed a SAR response, but I do make sure I pack the extra weight for contingencies. My favorite beacon is an IR beacon that runs on a 9v battery. Fits in my pocket, and I can tell you, I'll be adding it to my dive kit in a waterproof submersible container.
Your choice of beacon might be a worth addition to the PLBs will save you life thread. I know I'd be interested in hearing about it.

This is similar to what I’ll be looking at getting for a canister. This one is 7.25” internal height and 3.5” overall diameter but I’m thinking closer to 3” overal diameter and 6” internal height.

For reference, the other canister is the Custom Divers canister.
