Plastic Cam Bands?!?

All the plastic cam bands I have seen in the last decade or so are glass-filled. You can tell from the irregular surface finish. I saw one break from rough handling on deck years ago that was not glass-filled. I have heard that they are vulnerable in very cold weather -- again on deck rather than in the water.

they're solid bricks of plastic. I've never seen one break

I've broken two. I still use and even prefer them.

Weight. I travel worldwide a lot and weight is always an issue.
