I'm a short hoser.

I prefer the added security it gives - I'm not too worried about DM's but I do regularly dive on boats not specifically set up for diving so you gear lies on the deck.

Also - because I have more regs than transmitters, I prefer to have mine on QD so I can easily switch between sets.

If I have a TX on my teaching reg set and in open water in teh morning, I'll take it off if in the pool in the afternoon to preserve battery life (I have no need for AI in a pool)
