Does anyone know if we can still dive at Phillips Quarry, I can't find a website for them or the Leinard service.

We are going to be spending the weekend in Anderson, and I want to take a Scuba break!:D

Thanks!

I know a couple of guys that dove it last year. They said it pretty much sucked. They found the bottom when it found them. They both were using HID lights. Conditions might have changed since this was last year and viz sucked just about everywhere.

As far as I know Phillips Quarry is still open. I too can't get to the Leaird's scuba website but I do believe they are still open. I suggest just giving them a call. 765 288 8144

Like most Indiana quarries, the viz varies wildly from horrible to great, if by great you mean 15'. When I was there last (2 years ago) it was pretty lousy. Maybe 15' above the thermocline and darn near zero below.

I talked to Leaird's on the phone yesterday about something different.

Phillips is open. Be sure to stop by Leaird's Underwater Service and fill out the required paperwork. If no one is at the site they will give you a key to it.

I've been there a couple of times over the last few years and it's sucked both times.
