Hey guys,

is it possible flying from Caticlan (Boracay) to Coron? I checked Asian Spirit, Cebu
Pacific and Philippine Airlines and they don't run the route (Doesn't fly from Kalibo to Coron either).

@ Rain: think you might have to ferry it - either from Manila or Aklan (this is the province that Kalibo, Boracay and Caticlan are in) if possible.

edit: this is not the only ferry service available.

probably she meant ferry... i don't know if there's a ferry from caticlan to coron, but most probably something from kalibo (aklan) to coron... or a bounce to somewhere then coron

If not directly, I'm sure from caticlan to san jose (mindoro) then to Coron (worth the hassle?).

Alternatively, fly out in the morning to Manila, then fly to Busuanga (big island that Coron is part of). Here's the last thread about flying:
http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=120958&highlight=coron

or take the overnight superferry (https://www.superferry.com.ph/). But the overnight ferry only leaves on fridays.

Glad to see this thread. I have to frequent the Philippine Paradise Divers forum more since I recently received an invitation to come out there and dive. It was extended by an intelligent and attractive documentary film maker who is not an avid diver, but she is sure I'll find a lot there to film. I agree.

personally i think that it's worth the hassle... the interisland ferries don't take too long (it's a pretty good way to rest on the way) PLUS she avoids 18hour + no-fly times w/c considering her itenerary will eat no less than 4 days off her total vacation time

that's right, I didn't take no fly time into consideration for Coron.

@Raina: if possible, try time your coron excursion so you could catch the sunday superferry back to Manila. (the only day the superferry heads back to Manila).

Ninja edit: ok, I was talking with people at the MSI here and there's most likely a ferry that goes from Batangas City to Caticlan (your PG to Boracay leg). Which would be easier to do. But see if there's a boat from Calapan or even from Roxas as well.
