I am scheduling my vacation for next year and considering coming to the Philippines. Can anyone recommend a resort? and possibly direct me to a website that I can research..?

Just got back from Dumaguete and Puerto Gallera Atlantis Resort. Great resort, great dive op. We booked through World of Diving with Chris Fox. They made ALL arangements that went smooth as clockwork. Highly reccommended.

I just got back too. The people of the Philippines are terrific and the PPD even better. I was quite surprised by the wonderful diving. It's as good as Palau and about half the price. I'm going back in May...

Do a forum search on these:
- Anilao
- Puerto Galera *
- Verde Island
- Palawan
- Bohol *
- Ticao
- Cebu *
- Leyte
- Coron
- Subic
- Dumaguete *
- Apo Island *
- Apo Reef *
- Tubbataha
- Boracay
You can also google them (but as you know, forums always deliver the real deal info).
The ones I marked with 1 star are the places I'd reco if it's your first time here. That does not discredit the rest - the others are specialized and deserve a second time round visit.
FYI: Puerto galera, verde island, and anilao are all in proximity with each other (40 mins by boat) and it's possible to appreciate their dives sites in a 2 week trip (maybe not all of them, but a good deal of them).

I would agree with Chip. I'm doing the Anilao dives when I get back to Puerto Galera in May. Spectacular diving. And Mike, quit picking on my son...

Thanks for the information. I am actually looking to rent a villa in a seculded private area.. Any suggestions or links you can send me to look into? Want somewhere private.
