I got new phantom LP hose from divegearexpress.com. I noticed at the female end (where it connects to 2nd stage), there is a loose gap between the metal climp and the jam nut. It is free to move about 1/8 of a inch. Normal rubber hose doesn't have this, I wonder if it is normal for phantom or I got a defective hose.

I have two and they look the same. But, it does look like the male part of the fitting is not pushed inside the hose as far, before they crimp the sleeve. It looks like it is intentional, but now I wonder.

There is probably plenty of barb fitting inside the hose and I have used the hose without an issue, but maybe someone should contact the manufacturer.

I just got my 1st Phantom from DGE and will be picking up more in the future as I order more stuff from them. DGE is like a divers candy store!

thank you! I guess I was just paraniod since it is my first time with this kind of hose. Big thanks, DGE for the quick reply.
