My wife just purchased a Perdix ai computer. She is an OC rec diver and has about 400 dives in SE Asia. After looking at the videos, reading the manual, and successfully configuring the computer, she has a question on changing gases. She mentioned that the gas can be changed in system setup mode and has a choice of three gases.

Her question - how to change the nitrox setting without going to the system setup mode? She thought that going into the setup mode might be prone to error. She had already changed a system setting by accident. More questions to follow. Thanks.

You can configure O2 percentage in your gas from the Dive Setup -> Define Gas menu. Just only enable the gas you currently have in your tank, as the Perdix will allow you to switch gas underwater (and recommend a more appropriate gas) even in rec mode.

Sea otter, thanks for the help. All is well. She wanted to understand her new computer before she leaves for a 10-day LoB.
