I'm going to buy a Perdix AI, long story short, I wear computer on right wrist, my travel rig only has one HP port on the left. Am wondering if I'm likely to have any signal issues. I'm 172cm tall. I did contact SW and they advised there "might" be an issue given its range is 1 meter. Just wondering if anyone is using the same set up and their experiences. Cheers.

You're talking about a 6" difference. If it's really that sensitive, I think we all have bigger issues.

There won't be an issue. I wear mine crossed as well and I also read my wife's tank as long as I'm within 4-5 feet of her reg. When I get out of range of hers it will sometimes tell me I lost all coms but a button push clears the message and my data is always there. I do like getting her data without asking just by swimming a bit closer to her. I don't usually make the effort to do that but when we get close, I just check my wrist to see how she is doing.

Thanks for the replies people. Yes, I was a little surprised that they said it might be an issue, covering themselves perhaps. Yes, I had thought about adding a hose to re route if required. Thanks for the first hand experience Ray. Cheers.

I got the hp hose that was about 12-18" and ran it along the inflator hose. I was hitting the xmitter on things as I passed under it and was afraid I would damage it. I ceased using it long ago.

And no signal issues after that?

Well I tried mine out today for the first time.
I wore it on left wrist and the port is on the right. I didn't have a single issue with it.
I tried it at home when I was setting it up and I got 10-12 feet away before it dropped however i had to get about 5 feet away before it would re connect. it didn't drop once diving and I swam with arms full outstretched for a good minute trying to see if it would drop.

Cheers.

no the xmitter was on my chest/ shoulder strap of the bp/w and not behind me. the main benefit was that with the sp mk25 reg the xmitters would stick up somewhat and it was the first to hit an overhead.
