I hope everyone has had some relaxing down time over the winter months. NOW IT's TIME TO GEAR UP AND GET WET. Pelican Dive Charter is working in partnership with DIVE QUARTER'S of Virginia Beach to put a 2010 dive trip schedule together that will hit all the popular wrecks off the coast of Virginia Beach.
I've pulled all my gear out and completed the "Spring" inspection. I recommend a complete visual of all your gear prior to making that first SPLASH. I've seen too many dives CANX'ed because divers neglect their gear.
I took two of my regulators, first and second stages to see "Doctor Joe" at Dive Quarter's yesterday. This guy is a surgeon! We tore both of them all the way down and I was supprised to see what one season of diving can do to your life support system. I recommed to EVERYONE, get your regulators into a trained technician and have them serviced. Your warranty will most likely become invalid if you don't service your equipment on a yearly basis. I don't want any doubt in my mind at 100+ feet that all my "O" rings are in good condition and feel sure that my second stage has been tuned for easy breathing and no unwanted air loss occures.
Pelican Dive Charter is now on FACEBOOK, become a FAN and follow our 2010 dive season with updating of schedules, monthly specials and announcements.
Have a safe and exciting 2010 splash.
