Be aware that Pelican seems to have changed its products and its flashlights are no longer suitable for Diving unless, apparently, its from their NEMO series. the attcahed sheet from their 2410 LED series says submerrisibe to 500 feet, yet it leaked at 65 feet. Now the dealer says that light (2410) is not suitable for diving

Pelican now seems to have chnaged their symbols and the Intl Dive flag symbol only applies in their NEMO series

Numerous emails to Pelican have gone unanswered. The listing of their 800 number only send you to a recording of anoter unrelated 800 number.

Seems the legendary service of Pelican has deteriorated.

Beware in buying a Pelican if yiu intend to dive

I had a Pelican Saberlite LED flood at 90', but I had all of $35 into it, so I was not overly traumatised.

I agree though that Saberlites are no longer what they once were - an inexpensive but very reliable back up light / day light.

My first dive torch was a Pelican. Not impressed as it started rusting internally almost immediately but never had a drop of water inside. Went with Nocturnal Lights instead and have been thrilled with them for the past 4 years.

although Pelican still doesnt reply at all, the delaer C2Csafety clamims to have spoken to them and they say to send the 2410 back and they will replace it with a NEMO 2410. anyway , lesson learned.......Buyers beware

yep, please see the attcahed scan of the instructions that came with the light, SUBMERSIBLE to 500 feet. yes agree about the oring however I checked and double checked. also i tried the light again this weekend after cleaning, checking/regrease oring, etc etc and it still leaked, sending it back to Pelican today, however still disappointing that PELICAN DOESNT CARE TO RESPOND TO ANY EMAILS. Its a good thing that C2C Safety is very resonsive to customers otherwise I would have been at a loss.

just as update , as of today there has been no reply and no replacemnt form Pelican. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PELICAN TO ANYONE. BUY A REAL DIVE LIGHT FROM A REPUPUTABLE DEALER INSTEAD. DONT BE FOOLED BY PELICAN'S ADVERTISING

in fairness to Pelican , they finally replied, after more than 2 months and constant follow up re a replacement
