I WISH I could pee in my wetsuit! I've really really wanted to once. I think I may have to stop moving in the water and stay still to do so, and well, that may look a little suspicious.

Good reason to practice hovering. Most who'll tell need to slow down or stop.

Just what we need. A reference to crotch rot and yes, the Warhammer Maneuver again rising from the ashes.

Another option is to utilize a pee valve of sorts. If you have crossed that bridge when diving dry a discharge hose exiting at the ankle is a piece of cake. That's like the best of both worlds Hydrate rampantly without the marinade.

I always pee in rentals
I never pee in my own suit
If I do pee I always take off the wetsuit in the water and rinse thoroughly.

tips for new divers;

1. pee before you put on your wetsuit and get in the water - if your properly hydrated - this should be no problem
2. pee during your surface interval - more hydration no problem
3. boat ladders double as a pee station- pull the wetsuit to your knees and release
4. pee if you must, holding pee is not healthy - see below

5. if you must pee, pee in the beginning of the dive
6. try rinse methods previously listed, shorties are easier
7. everyone pees and believe me, your fellow divers will appreciate the rinse
8. not really easy to hid if you do come aboard with a pee suit

scuba apparrel websuits are about to get a spike in wetsuit sales no doubt.

It's not that much of a leap, once no.#2 in a wetsuit is introduced into the thread.;)

Just for an example:

In my 500 dives, I have pissed in my suit at least 700 times. Wet suit or drysuit, it doesn't matter. Drysuit has a pee valve, but there have been a couple of catastrophic catheter failures along the way.

i'm with don - my pees far exceed my dives.

just remember to flush afterwards. i get on board, drop the gear, and jump back in to force water in at the neck of my suit & wiggle it around.

Let's not forget the Walter maneuver.....

Get yourself feet up underwater and purge in through the neck for an up draft.

all my suits have been rental but i make it a point to pee in them

#1: Not 100% cure if you have a sensitive bladder. Fortunately, I don't have to hydrate much, which would make it worse.

#3: Guess you don't use those farmer john 7 mils in Hi.
