I've been on 'both sides of the fence' and found a drysuit to be more trouble than they are worth! Pee Valves, buoyancy issues, gluing pockets on thighs, etc - hot in the summer in-between dives - sweat to death in that thing in-between dives chatting with my buddies! At least with a wetsuit I could take the jacket off and stay cooler!

Don't be a weenie. Go for the "barbed brass coupling". It won't slip and cause social embarrassment.

This may sound stupid, but what about using a catheter bag instead of wearing depends or installing a through-valve. If you were to rent a dry suit without a valve, installing one would problably upset the renter.
