This was found diving off Oahu and we don't know what the heck it is or what it could be from. Looks like a claw of some kind
The size of this piece is about 1.85cm long and about 1.2cm wide on the open end. Any ideas what it might be?
 
Perhaps it’s part of a mollusk. The shell wall seems a bit thick to be from a claw. How deep is the hole?

Could it be from something like the Black-tankard Angaria (Angaria melanacantha)?

Or a piece of coral?

Or maybe it’s a future puka shell. Nice pictures, btw.
