As a Florida native, boater, fisherman, sailor, and mariner, all of this “Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville” garbage has to be called for what it is.

Is there anything you won't debate....

How about the world being similar to a round object...I don't think you can debate that earth is round(ish), rotating, and orbiting the sun.

I remember a sleepy little village just east over the bridge from Okaloosa Island where condos, hotels, and high rises didn’t block the view of the Gulf or Choctawhatchee Bay. I remember unobstructed vistas of crystalline white sugar beaches from Pensacola to Panama City. I remember many people escaping to their “One Particular Harbor” along the Emerald Coast to enjoy the laid back lifestyle…..and this was well before Mr. Buffett found his musical niche.

Not everyone is going to like Bubba’s music and even less may agree with his politics but “snowbirds” and the lure of Florida living were there long before Jimmy. To quote the minstrel, “Everybody’s Got A Cousin in Miami.” The poorly planned and unregulated growth with all its accompanying problems and restrictions along the Florida Coasts ain’t Bubba’s fault. Now what are YOU gonna do to help fix it?

The Deadhead Diver thread was kept light and appreciative but then Captain Trips is gone and no one can fairly bash the man and his politics. Jeez Louise! Do we need a "Whine and Cheese" forum like they have at Bladeforums.com??????

Our entire family has been Parrottheads for years and will continue to be. Last concert was Banana Wind a few years back. Looking forward to next years tour.....
