Let's look at some FACTS, shall we?
First, Manatees are not endangered at present. Why can I say this? Because their population (as measured by the very people trying to ban the boats) have TRIPLED in the last 30 years. A species that has had its population TRIPLE is not in danger of extinction. It is recovering.

This is an incredibly ludicrous statement (although you've picked the right forum to try and pass it off). Going from 1000 individuals to 3000 individuals is hardly reason to remove a species from the endangered list. It doesn't surprise me that an ecological group has taken it's mandate too far, but their "raison d'tere" is still valid. And believe it or not, there's more to the nautical world and JB than just Florida.
