Hello,
My name is Jim McCarthy, I am a PADI OWSI/MSDT, EFRI, Nitrox and DAN 02 instructor, fully insured and renewed for 2008, and I am looking for a long-term position with a professional and reputable dive company.

In addition to my PADI certifications, I also hold IANTD advanced nitrox and deep diver certifications.

After working and traveling all over the world as a US Merchant Mariner, I am ready to get my start in this industry, and begin my career in what I truly love, diving.

I am a self-motivated honest professional with excellent diving skills, knowledge and standards. I am a very responsible diver who is sensitive about the marine environment, with an emphasis on safety at all times.

I have over 500 dives, with most of my experience being in such places a Guam, Saipan, Thailand, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and the Marshall Islands. One of my favorite diving activities is wreck diving, having dove on numerous wrecks around the world, and I am experienced in penetration dives.

Have a reputation as a dependable and accountable employee as a U.S. Merchant Mariner, with excellent seamanship skills. Handle crisis situations in calm and capable manner, I am friendly and reliable with a good sense of humor, flexible and used to working with all kinds of different people.

Not afraid of hard work or getting hands dirty with non diving tasks, great team player willing to work as part of a team in any capacity for right employer. I have a wide variety of skills to offer built from my years of professional maritime work and blue water sailing.

I believe that with my past professional experience as a US Merchant Mariner, my passion for diving and skill in the water, and my dedication to safety, I would be a valuable asset to your organization.
If you think I could be the right person for your operation, please feel free to contact me anytime, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Please include my name in your employment database. I would like to be considered as a serious candidate for the position of instructor/ divemaster and look forward to pursuing this avenue with you further. Thank you for your time and attention.

Dive safe & have a great day.
Sincerely,

James T. McCarthy
